I can't say enough about the staff here..my dog was not a patient there but in his last hrs these kind hearted people helped to relieve his pain.. 15 yrs 3 months with this wonderful dog and I couldn't get anyone not even my own vet of several yrs to help me. My daughter called these wonderful people and they did everything to help us out. And today almost 1 month after I get a beautiful card in the mail hand signed by the staff with beautiful kind words..really made my day. Truly beautiful people.
Absolutely wonderful place! My dog got into a fight with a much bigger dog and within an hour they had him in surgery. I had never taken him there before and they were still so accommodating once they had his shot records. The price of his surgery was much lower than I expected as well. The staff is extremely nice, caring of their patients, and helpful when it comes to any questions you have. I highly recommend Country Critters!

This Vet practice is fine if all you want are yearly shots. Please, please, please go somewhere else for more complicated issues. On August 9, 2017 I took my bloodhound in for her routine vaccinations. During the exam they found a baseball size tumor on her right side, a golf ball size tumor on her left side. (all of these I was aware of and told them about). The Vet said that if it was her dog she would have them removed because of their size. I made an appointment for October 17 to have them removed, Around 10:00 a.m. the vet tech called me and said they found a couple more lumps and did they have my permission to remove them, which I agreed to. Why not, while she is already sedated lets take care of everything we can. I was called around noon and was told everything went fine, she was waking up and I could pick her up after 2:30p.m. Promptly I was there at 2:30 to bring her home. I paid, and was given instruction on post surgery needs. They brought her out, and I have to say I was a little taken back that they removed a mole/wart from the top of her head. I was told back in Aug that it was just that, a mole/wart. The receptionist was showing me the incisions when I noticed that the right side of her was fine!! They did not remove the baseball size tumor that the surgery was scheduled for!!!!!!!!!!! But they removed a mole from the top of her head!!!!!! I immediately said I wanted to talk to the vet that preformed the surgery. They put me in a room and as the vet entered she started apologizing. I couldn't believe it. She said she relied on her technician to let her know what to take out. WHAT??? You didn't refer to your notes, that plainly stated what was to be removed. I was charged $511.00 to remove moles and cysts the size of marbles, but you forgot to remove the baseball size mass that was clearly stated in you notes. How incompetent. There are no other words. Then she said we can make this right. We will only charge you $80.00 to remove the forgotten mass tomorrow. If I wasn't upset enough, the thought that they were ONLY going to charge me $80.00 for their screw up was totally unconscionable. The Owner and vet herself was less than concerned about the incompetence of what had occurred and more concerned about what I was requesting when I asked for a copy of the notes that the vet wrote on Aug 9 explaining the size and location of the masses which would be removed during the upcoming surgery. She refused to give me a copy and said she would refund the cost if I would agree to take my dogs records and be on my way. Really I wouldn't even rate them at all if that had been an option. Please beware
